MATRIX supports the transformation of the Mediterranean textile and fashion industries toward more circular and sustainable models. At the core of the initiative is the creation of the Circular Fashion Design Toolbox, a set of practical tools focused on resource management, sustainable materials, and digitalization. The Toolbox will be part of a training program targeting 200 SMEs and stakeholders, with a portion selected to test the tools through pilot projects in order to enhance their circularity.

The project also promotes cross-border collaboration through study visits in Spain and Tunisia and a matchmaking event in Turkey, involving SMEs and providers of circular solutions. These activities will contribute to the creation of the Mediterranean Pact for Circular Fashion, a regional alliance that will engage stakeholders and public authorities to promote policy alignment and ensure a lasting impact on the textile sector. Thanks to the project, solution providers will gain new market opportunities, while consumers will benefit from a growing range of eco-designed fashion products.
