POLYMEER aims to establish a sustainable bio-based value chain for bioplastic products, using brewers’ spent grain (BSG) as feedstock. BSG is a by-product often discarded as waste. Our mission is to transform these materials into high-performance polymers and materials that can be replace traditional plastics. The project will focus on three innovative applications: agricultural mulch films; textiles for automotive industry; tertiary packaging films for industrial use. Our goals are to reduce environmental impact, enhance circularity, and create recyclable and biodegradable bioplastics.
