Next Technology Tecnotessile is taking part in the Waste2Fashion project, an initiative funded under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme that brings together Mediterranean partners to address the challenge of post-consumer textile waste and support the transition towards a circular textile economy.
The project focuses on developing and testing practical, replicable solutions for textile collection, sorting, reuse and recycling, with the aim of turning waste into a resource and fostering more sustainable production and consumption models. Through this cooperation, partners from Spain, Italy, Tunisia, Egypt and Lebanon are working together to build a shared approach to innovation and impact.
The consortium includes MedWaves as the lead partner, together with CEDARE, the Egyptian Clothing Bank, Next Technology Tecnotessile, the Fondazione Museo del Tessuto, the Fédération Tunisienne du Textile et de l’Habillement (FTTH) and FabricAID. Their combined expertise covers research, environmental management, textile recovery, industry engagement and circular design.
