BioFibreLoop Newsletter #2 – Spotlight on the evolution of bio-based filament and the supply chain challenge

We are pleased to announce the publication of the second newsletter of the BioFibreLoop project, a Horizon Europe action in which Tecnotex is actively involved as a partner.

The newsletter, which has been available since February 2025, is the perfect opportunity to stay updated on progress in a key area: the production of sustainable fibres from lignin and cellulose.

BioFibreLoop

Highlights from the newsletter:

  • The technical success of DITF in spinning mixed lignin–cellulose fibres, with promising results in terms of mechanical quality and texture
    Innovation News Network

  • The critical analysis of European lignin availability: “basal lignin” extracted but untreated, showing quality variability between suppliers and growing difficulties in sourcing
    Renewable Carbon

  • The commitment to building a resilient and circular supply chain, supported by the development of new European facilities and EU bio-based policies
    World Bio Market Insights

We invite our readers to explore the full project newsletter for deeper insights into these fundamental topics:
