
On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the event “Fashion, Technology, and Manufacturing: Innovation, Sustainability, and Skills – The Role of MIMIT and ARTES 4.0 in Enhancement of the Tuscan Supply Chain” will be held at Villa Vittoria (Piazza Adua) in Florence.
The meeting represents an important opportunity for discussion and collaboration between institutions, research centers, businesses, and stakeholders in the textile and fashion sector, with the aim of promoting technological innovation and sustainability within the Tuscan production chain.
Next Technology Tecnotessile will be among the keynote speakers, sharing its experience and the research and technology transfer activities that have contributed to the competitive development of the manufacturing sector for over fifty years.
During Panel 6 – “Innovation in Textiles and Sustainability,” Andrea Falchini, Director of Next Technology Tecnotessile, will give a presentation entitled:
“Textile Recycling: From Systemic Analysis to Supply Chain Synergy,”
a contribution focusing on the importance of cooperation among stakeholders in the textile district and the adoption of a systemic approach to material recycling, in line with national and European circular economy objectives.
The presentation will provide an overview of the research projects that Next Technology Tecnotessile is developing together with national and European partners, with a particular focus on the implementation of innovative technologies and sustainable processes in the textile and manufacturing sectors.
The initiative, promoted as part of the activities of ARTES 4.0 and MIMIT, focuses on the connection between technology, sustainability, and skills, key themes of the district’s development strategies and the ecological and digital transition paths of Made in Italy.
