CEMTex aims to improve the cooperation between regions, hospitals and all value chain actors throughout Europe to realise a transition from single-use (disposables) to multiple-use medical textiles to reduce the use of raw materials, waste and at the same time enhancing European autonomy and creating new business opportunities.

CEMTex will work on:

– identifying the barriers and opportunities to enhance the production and use of circular medical textiles in our regional contexts

– promoting collaboration with and learning from the value chain, both from the demand and supply side perspectives

– the promotion of innovative green and circular procurement of medical textiles

– improve relevant policy instruments that affect circularity, minimise waste and /or boost new business opportunities, business models (BM) and textile innovations

– supporting the development of capacities to operationalise the novel innovation policy and tools
